My Woeful Day
What a day.
Brief glimpse of my day.
*Spent Five hours reading one part of the MCSE Exam to a blind guy......he passed with the minimum score
*Got an Ipod shuffle (the smaller one).....now I have to defeat the all the freaking WMA's I've actually paid for.
Details..Details..Details..
Kevin (the blind guy) isn't really blind but he's vision impaired enough to need help. So I read the guys exam for him in my one of my new gigs as a Reader Recorder.... Weird part I don't even have an MCSE yet but a partially blind guy does. Kevin did miss just enough to pass. 50 questions and the final score chart doesn't say what you missed but it gives your minimum passing grade and your score. For this exam 700 points was the minimum and that’s what he got. So he's halfway there now. 3 exams down and 3 to go. Good luck Kev.
I got my girl an Ipod Shuffle (512 mb). It's pretty freaking sweat. Really it’s just a flash player or way cool looking thumb drive. They retail for like 99 bucks for this edition and I got to tell you it looks great and sounds great. It's pretty easy to use so I give two yellow thumbs up. Apple sure the hell could tech Bill G a lot on how to market a freaking product. How lame is a flying four paneled window compared to apple with a bite missing. I don't thing I'm going to make the Mac switch yet but I'm definitely moving away from windows. My ubuntu laptop is almost 100 percent I have a couple of drivers and software issues to ! out (! is Perl for bang but whatever).
Now for the bitching part of my blog...
I hadn't looked into this lately since I've been a music pirate for the better part of my adult gray hat years, but now that my family owns a portable music player I'm real interested in how to this music thing all legit.
Now I know I could roll on into a music store and just buy stuff but that's so last century. Now I actually did invest a lot of time ripping and converting all my personal CD's onto my hard drive but I did that at work along with some of my other co-workers and this job was eventually delegated to my boy Bob who as you already know if you've been reading my Blog is currently under that whole FAA Knife/Conspiracy plot to rob Bob of his god-given right to bring a blade on a plane thing. Long story short all music was consolidated onto a hard drive that Bob owned and took with him when he left work.
So now I'm confronted with all these damn WMA that I need to convert to work on my new Ipod Shuffle. Well Apple made it easy like every other Music Whoreing company out there and offered to convert all my Non-Protected music over. So now that's cool and all but what about the legit music I downloaded that's copy protected.
So right now I'm looking into how to [insert double-cough] to move these files over to my Ipod. Suggestions are welcome.... more to come later and for one of my two regular readers.
YES WILL I FINALLY SAW THE MOVIE. NOW UNPLUG THAT TIME MACHINE, PUT DOWN THE STEAK AND THE BOWSTAFF AND CALL ME TO TALK ABOUT IT!
