I love the ISO body!
Hit this link and check out the ISO Proposal for resolving customer issues.
I think it's great that a standards body exists for the purpose of establishing standards.
This ISO that is up for review gives companies a "standard" to follow for recognizing and resolving customer issues. I love this kind of shit.
We had a bad experience at work today with a vendor who's President basically refused to help us fix a problem with his product. It's freaking amazing that a companies president would say sorry, you're money is good but our service isn't. I hate vendor lock in. If we hadn't already forked over SERIOUS dough for software maintainence we'd leave in a heartbeat. Greedy non customer centric bastards!
So much has happened in such a short time I'm not sure what to blog about.
We lost a new travel technician who didn't even make it through a straight week. I've got to respect his decision since he took the job and made the big move to Arkansas then realized that he wasn't a good fit from the get-go. Going to miss you Mike and I wish you good luck!
I have a training class to give a client tomorrow (on very short notice mind you). It's going to eat a considerable amount of my day but hey I get paid to work so work it will be. I attended a demo today from a Macromedia presenter using Breeze. Absolutely amazing demo software but damned it's expensive. They were wanting a couple hundred to 750 bucks a month to let you use their software. I want to say it was worth it but it's hard to swallow that kind of price per month for just doing presentations and remote training.
On the flipside I downloaded and have been using Macromedia's Captivate software which I have to say is really freaking cool. It's so going to make my job easier.
We have started a new program at work where we are FINALLY calling our clients and converting their systems over to a more secure download process. We are using a solution built around PSCP. PSCP is from the same genius that brought SSH to the masses with PuTTY.
I have so much more I want to blog about but my IM is blowing up so I'm going to bounce.
